Ethics and Leadership intro at Capitol with Blake Chisholm, Committee on Standards of Conduct
Regular school day -- out to lunch with Winson, Isabel
Went for a run
Tuesday:
Regular day of school
School meeting
Flex period -- college meeting
Wednesday:
Trevor and I attempted to go to Academic Hearing -- but it was full, over flow room was dumb
Went to get gallery passes from GA rep -- ran into Gray -- went with him to Veterans hearing
Watched Biden roll up to Capitol, saw some gay marriage protesters
Left hearing, went to get passes from OH rep, walked around Hart and Russel buildings trying to talk to senators
Went to Senate Gallery Hearing on budget, heard Sessions speak
Lunch at Longworth building with Kyra, Caity, Trevor, Tracy
Split up -- Kyra and I went to Library of Congress to get library cards
Walked to Longworth building, split up
Meeting with Anthony Trevena (Chief of Staff for Boccieri) -- did some baller networking while waiting for Trevena
Talked about ethics with Trevena, Waited for Boccieri and then said hi to him and got a picture with him
Walked back home -- discussed our days with everyone
Thursday:
Regular day of school, except it was our last day of Arabic and we learned how to write our names
Friday:
Regular school day, except E&L in the afternoon, we discussed the ethics hand guide and rules.
PBJ activity and writing new rules for SEGL activity
Robbie was on duty, so we all just hung out and chilled in his room and sang as he played songs on the piano -- i absolutely love these people. spring break and life without them will be tough
Saturday:
French class
English class -- Noah read from my journal. some people knew it was mine and it made me feel really vulnerable, but I think it was a good thing.
ROLLER DERBYYYY! We all got dressed up and went to the derby. Montreal won. We also made some friends from Emerson. They want to have a mixer with us because they know about us from Lala who goes to their school.
Walked back and parcoured all the way home
Dinner and then went to Good Stuff Eatery. Got Spike's autograph for Haley since she is a foodie
Watched Ferris Buehler
It was an amazing day! Quite possibly my favorite day thus far. We are such a family now and it's amazing.
Sunday:
Normally just a chill day, but instead we went to Eastern Market.
Got an amazingggg vintage purse, ran into an HB grad. Successful day especially because it's so warm and springy.
Did my homework and here I am now still working.
I hope this was a sufficient post. Who needs complete sentences anyway? Not me.
I come home on Friday for Spring Break. Two weeks without everyone will be weird, but I get to see my friends so yay to that!!
